I’m Farheen Nafees,
Founder of OnPoint Medical Communications.
It was my first major writing project, and I was thrown in headfirst. The client had some elaborate ideas and had generously funded the center I was working at, so it was a tricky situation right off the bat. With diverse backgrounds at play, I entered into an intricate battle between principles of physics and biology, with a focus on cancer prevention. Seeing my colleagues struggle to align with the project’s evolving demands, I saw an opportunity to contribute.

While others stagnated in the chaos of differing viewpoints, clashing perspectives, and tensions between parties, I immersed myself in the challenge and began discerning a path forward. I knew I had to take a meticulous and methodical approach, so I got to work seeking ways to align with the client’s vision, preferred language, and formatting requirements. Soon, we began to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Finally, after witnessing 12+ months of stalling, the constant flux began to wane. With a clear objective in mind, I pieced together a coherent narrative from the seemingly conflicting ideas and was able to make the client’s vision come to life. The resulting slide decks successfully bridged the gap between unconventional ideas and scientific rigor, meeting, and even exceeding client expectations.

As a skilled freelance medical writer adept at transforming visionary concepts into practical strategies, I offer my expertise to those seeking clarity and precision in their medical communication.
